I typically buy whatever bar of soap is the least expensive but whenever someone gives me a nicer bar of soap as a gift, it is such a treat. I also love having them out during the holiday season. Brown Sugar by Kesha Janaan makes a beautiful gift. Today I want to share with you a little bit about Brown Sugar by Kesha Janaan and the two scents I love.

With natural ingredients that I can read, beautiful simple packaging, and a powerful scent, I love the Oatmeal Spice scent for the holiday season. Pink Grapefruit is one of my favorite scents, and this natural soap smells refreshing. I have been loving it in the shower.

I also love supporting the owner, Kesha, who is a Veteran, army wife, singer, and entrepreneur!

I LOVE L’Oreal mascara. I’ve been using the L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara for years. I was excited to try Bambi Eye Mascara by L’Oreal and today I want to share my thoughts with you.

Bambi Eye Mascara Waterproof by L’Oreal

I like mascara that is wet that doesn’t flake or clump, and I prefer waterproof mascara because I don’t like to worry about it smudging or if my eyes water. I like a brush that coats and volumizes, and length is good but I do not like a spidery or clumpy look. The Bambi Eye mascara delivers on all of those things. It retails for $8-12 and I will be buying this again.

My Thoughts

I love the clickable pen and I love that it isn’t thick or heavy for summer. I put it where I have undereye darkness and a bit on the outside corners of my eye. I use a brush to pat the concealer in and then like to set it with a pink powder. I wear Fair 10C

Arched Mirror | Amazon Find

I have an office. This is huge. And I have to decorate it. I started with an arched mirror. I LOVE the anthropology mirror [me and apparently, everyone else, maybe I’ll get over it before we buy our next home] but for my office at our Gumseat Productions shop, I knew it was time for a mirror. Let me explain.

I create social media content for a living, and I’m taking a larger role in our screen printing and embroidery business, so having a large mirror that I can use to film reels for social media tips, fashion styling, and business content. I didn’t want to spend a lot but wanted something that looked nice and would function well. I read alllllllll the reviews on affordable arched mirrors and I am so happy with what I ended up with.

I am currently in the chaos of our move and I wore a jumpsuit the other day because most things are in boxes scattered all over our new bedroom floor and it was easy to grab a one-piece and toss it on. I received multiple compliments on it, which was nice especially because I felt anything but put together.

We moved…saying goodbye to our house

Yesterday we said goodbye to our first house. The house where we brought all of our kids home. The house where our kids grew up. The house where we grew up. We bought it straight out of college, and now 11 1/2 years later, we say goodbye. Our starter home, that we’ve finally outgrown. Home doesn’t stay with the house, it goes with the people in it. But goodness we’ll miss it.

The NEW French Manicure is the Same but Different | 2022 French Manicure

In high school, at an inexpensive mall nail salon, I got my first manicure. It was 2002, so what do you think I got? A french manicure with airbrushed tips, of course. And now, in 2022, the french manicure is back and it’s the same but different.

So, what’s the new style? It’s almost anything you want that is a bit different than the old classic. Colored tips, reverse french, embellished tips, or what I did which is the white french bordering the entire nail edge as opposed to only the tip.

My nails were done at a salon. My nails are a gel full set. I do still use my gel manicure kit for doing my own pedicures.
