Today, I’m excited to share my outfit from an afternoon tea at The Whitney Detroit. Last year, two of my closest friends and I had tea at The Townsend Hotel, and it’s become an annual tradition I’m thrilled to keep going for many years ahead.

What To Wear To Afternoon Tea in 2025

Dress – This dress is absolutely a dream. It’s one I’ll keep in my collection forever. Featuring a beautiful front button closure and a hidden side seam zipper at the skirt underlay, it’s made from a midweight tweed fabric with an attached mini skirt underlay. The bejeweled buttons are the perfect finishing touch.

Heels – These are a shoe you’ll reach for over and over and they’re very comfortable

I attended an afternoon tea with two of my dearest friends to celebrate my birthday and today I will share what I wore to tea in case you’re wondering what to wear to tea. We attended afternoon tea as opposed to high tea, at afternoon tea they typically serve light small sandwiches and little desserts whereas at high tea they have heartier sandwiches.
