Hi there! Happy Wednesday!
It is midweek! Yay! Congrats, you’ve made it ; ) I hope that you are having a great week, and that you have fun plans ahead for the weekend.
I have been simplifying my makeup lately, and when it came time to repurchase my “holy grail” primer (Benefit PoreFessional) I surprised myself and on a whim ordered the Smashbox Photo Finish Smooth & Blur Primer. I have used the SmashBox Photo Finish primers in the past, and Smashbox was my OG primer for a long time before the Benefit PoreFessional stole my heart. I didn’t go too crazy, I just ordered the sample size, but I have been loving it so much that I think it’ll stay in my rotation for a while.
About the Primer
A clear primer gel that smooths the look of fine lines, pores, and uneven texture so your makeup looks better and lasts.
The Smashbox Photo Finish Primer is lightweight and oil-free, so it glides on to give you a flawless finish, while antioxidants, vitamins A and E, and peptides help protect your skin from environmental pollutants, damage, and stress. This primer is formulated without parabens or phthalates.
Photo Finish The Original Smooth & Blur Primer was the first product developed at Smashbox’s creative L.A. photo studio. It’s been a makeup artist must-have for over 17 years and is still their number-one bestseller. This product is cruelty-free and free of sodium lauryl sulfates, fragrance, and talc. It is also vegan.
Why I Love It
I love this primer because it really does give my makeup the perfect canvas to work off of. I have combo/oily skin and as a woman in my early 30’s I suffer from blemishes occasionally, dullness, and fine lines are beginning to creep there way in too (how rude!) I often am in a hurry while applying my makeup, and this absorbs into the skin quickly so I don’t find that I have to wait long before applying foundation or concealer. This primer wears well under powder, liquid, or cream foundation products. I put my makeup on at about 5:30 or 6 a.m and often don’t remove it until late evening, so it really does help my makeup last through some LONG days. A little goes a long way, so while it isn’t a cheap product, I find that I just need a pea-size or even a little bit smaller amount each day.
My Routine
After completing my morning skincare routine I will apply this withm and then usually do my brows so that it can sink into the skin before I apply my foundation.
