I like to whiten my teeth every few months, and over the years on this blog, I have shared my favorite teeth whitening system, Smile Br!llant (you can read my Smile Br!llant Reviews here). I have wanted to invest in an electric toothbrush for years but hadn’t bitten the brush (get it?!) because I wasn’t sure what I wanted. Charging and Cleaning

The toothbrush sits on the charging base and the indicator light will blink red when the handle is charging, and it will turn a solid green when the toothbrush is fully charged. The toothbrush charge will last for about 30 pre-timed brushing cycles when fully charged.

Brushing Modes

Clean– The standard mode for superior daily cleaning

White– The most powerful cleaning mode for removing surface stains, polishing, and deep cleaning

Massage– The gentle gum pulsation mode for hum stimulation (to be used along with another cleaning mode)

Gum Care– To be used for gentle cleaning along the gumline (to be used along with another cleaning mode)

Sensitive– The ideal mode for users who have sensitive teeth and gums and/or find the other modes too aggressive

My Thoughts

I brush my teeth on the clean mode and then like to use the white mode to really polish and whiten my teeth. I also will use the gum care or massage function every few days. This is by far my favorite toothbrush and I plan to use it for a long time. The toothbrush comes with two heads, but I know in a few months I will definitely be ordering more Smile Br!llant CariPRO Ultrasonic Electric Toothbrush Replacement Heads. I did a video on my YouTube Channel nearly a year ago sharing how I whitened my teeth professionally at home with Smile Brilliant. I have used the touch-up kits every few months to maintain my results, and I am just as in love with it now, if not more so, all these months later. How I Use It Now

I like to use Smile Brilliant every three or four months to keep my teeth as white as when I did the kit for the first time.

Why I Love It

I have sensitive teeth, other at-home whitening products have hurt my teeth so badly that I couldn’t use them close enough together to get as significant results as I wanted. I also appreciate how affordable this kit is because while I’d looked into professional whitening at the dentist office, it was never something that fit into my families budget. I think that the custom trays you get with Smile Brilliant are really a game changer because they fit your teeth perfectly, so the gel is getting direct contact with each part of your smile. I like that I can keep up my white smile without a trip to the dentist office or a big hassle.

My Routine

I always wipe my teeth off with a small piece of paper towel or a washcloth to make sure that they are dry before putting a thin strip of the whitening gel into the custom trays and putting the trays in. If any whitening gel presses up onto my gums, I wipe it off with a Q-Tip. I typically use the trays in for 1.5 hours, but as long as 3 hours if I want a really good touch-up. After I remove the trays I rinse my mouth with water and then brush my teeth with Sensodyne toothpaste. I rinse out the and fill them with the de-sensitizing gel, which is my favorite Smile Brilliant product because it makes it virtually painless for me to whiten my sensitive teeth. I try to do my whitening in the evenings, and if I am going to eat after whitening I try to wait at least an hour before doing so.

Why I think It Is a Great Gift

I think Smile Brilliant is a fantastic gift because it works for any age, man or woman, and it is such a confidence boost to have a whiter smile. My husband, who has never whitened his teeth because he also has a lot of sensitivity, wants to try Smile Brilliant because he has been so amazed by how effective it has been for me.

How It Works

You receive a box in the mail from Smile Brilliant with instructions to make the molds for your custom whitening trays. I was intimidated to make the molds and send them back in the mail, but as you can see in my video demo below it is not as hard as I anticipated at all. About a week after you send in your molds you will get your custom whitening trays. The molds fit my teeth perfect and are very flexible and comfortable. The kit comes with great directions, but basically all you do is put a thin a line of the whitening gel into the molds and then wear them for anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours. If you have sensitive teeth like me and purchase a sensitive teeth kit, you will also get desensitizing gel which I did use when I would whiten my teeth for longer than an hour. The desensitizing gel is used for about 20 minutes after whitening to help with sensitivity and also prevent re-staining the teeth.
