Hi there! Happy Monday!
It’s the beginning of a new week and the beginning of the last month of 2018! I say it every year, but it really does feel like the year flew by in a blink! As we approach 2019 a lot of us begin thinking about resolutions or goals we have for the new year, and for a lot of us that includes a new or improved fitness regimen. I have been using the Gixo App for the past few months and today I want to share my thoughts. I was given the opportunity to try the Gixo App for free for my consideration for review purposes, but this post is not sponsored. As always, I will never accept money in exchange for a positive review.
The Gixo app offers live and on-demand group fitness classes you can take at home or on the go. Coaches work with you to keep you motivated and moving. You can choose to do on-demand classes whenever you’d like or find the time, or you can sign up for live classes up with a tap of your finger and workout live. Each class is led by a certified personal trainer and you can work out from anywhere! You can personalize the app to your own fitness needs and level.
Once you’ve downloaded the Gixo App (for the Gixo App on Google Play click here)and created an account you can set up your profile and get started!
It costs the same amount as about four trips to Starbucks a month ; ) It costs $19.99/month OR you can pay for an entire year at once for $179.99.

My Thoughts
Before beginning Gixo I had been working out five days per week on my own at home and at one point with the help of an online personal trainer and fitness group, so the working out regularly was not new for me and I had previously used an App to track workouts, so I was excited to see what Gixo had to offer. I love that with some classes you have the option to turn on your location or camera so that the personal trainers can help you, but it isn’t required so if you’re like me feeling like a hot mess express some days? Totally fine you can do it without using the camera option. I do love the camera option though because only your trainer sees you, not the whole class, and they can help you make sure you’re doing the moves correctly. I like the live classes because the trainers are phenomenal in the app and keeping you motivated on the audio and chat features. The on-demand classes are super convenient and they have strength, running, HIIT, Yoga, Walking, Treadmill, Stretching, Bootcamp, Fitcamp and more so you really never get bored. You can view all of the Gixo Classes here. Gixo also offers fun events like a Turkey Trot or awesome philanthropy like a Breast Cancer Awareness walk. My favorite part about these workouts is that the trainers help me keep my timing so I don’t take too long of a break in-between sets or count too quickly and they have workouts as short as 15 minutes so I can squeeze in something even on my busiest day. *Note: I have even been known to do a workout in street clothes and no mat on extremely busy days, which of course I don’t recommend but sometimes some is better than none, right?! I still do workouts on my own but I love having the option to have someone else lead the way. After each class, you get an email summarizing that completed class AND a text from your Gixo Personal Trainer which is really awesome! Every trainer is super positive, kind, and fun. The workouts all play upbeat music, but I did want to note that while I love it I don’t think it’s always censored, and while that doesn’t bother me it may bother some and definitely wouldn’t be good for little ears. One thing I’d love to see added is a nutritional component or a way to use an App to track macronutrients or weight goals. Overall? So much value! I love it.
PHEW! That was a lot of info! If you’re like me and you need to try it before you buy it or at least get to play around on the App first, you can sign up for a 7 Day Trial!
What workout do you use? Do you need a new workout routine? If you need something that you can do on-the-go at home with real personal trainers to keep you motivated and that is more affordable than most gym memberships, definitely consider giving Gixo a try.
